AWARE SHARK CONSERVATION DIVER
Sharks are crucial to marine ecosystems. They maintain a balance in populations of prey species and keep the ocean healthy by removing ill or diseased animals. They are an important resource supporting local economies through fishing and as an attraction to dive tourists. But sharks are in a global decline for a number of reasons.
This program will help understand the value of sharks to marine ecosystems and economies, provide education about the causes of declining shark populations, and inspire you to help sharks by taking action. This course will turn you into an informed and passionate shark defender!
This course can be done as a PADI Specialty course including two dives, or as a non-diver recognition program.
Cost for PADI Specialty Course: $169 + Tax
Cost for non-diver recognition program: $99 + Tax
Includes: use of all necessary equipment, certification costs.
Prerequisite for PADI Specialty Course: Open Water Diver; at least 12 years old
