We apologize for not keeping our blogs updated all this time, we are here again and ready to keep you all in the loop with our shop and scuba school. These last months in Cozumel have been busy busy busy with Referrrals, Nitrox courses, and many advanced courses. We couldn’t be more proud of our instructors really working their fins off this last season after our dearest Andres has left Cozumel for the time being to travel the globe and explore other waters. With Juan Pablo having his newborn son and Mateo, not only working his restaurant by night, but preparing his daughter to study abroad in Europe this year, they’ve held strong and really took charge of the Scuba School bustle, all with the help of our stellar Norman. We congratulate all our Scuba School Graduates of Spring 2015 and welcome our upcoming students!
Just over a year ago, we were pleased to announce that Norman McLiberty, one of Blue Angel Resort‘s long-time divemanster favourites had moved forward with his training and became an Assistant Instructor. Then earlier this year we announced that Norman had joined the ranks of Blue Angel Scuba School instructor staff.
Now we have new news! Norman has worked hard gaining experience teaching over the past six months, and recently completed his Master Scuba Diver Trainer preparation with Cozumel IDC. He is now a Master Scuba Diver Trainer!
Join us in congratulating Norman once again!
As we begin to approach fall (even on the island, the days do get shorter!) we offer congratulations to our students who visited during July, August and September!

A while back we enjoyed a visit from the wonderful Zaichick family from Canada as they chose us for their Open Water certification. Ariel and her parents, Sean and Marla, had a great time! Here’s Ariel during one of her Open Water Dives.
Well, now she’s got another notable accomplishment under her belt, and we wanted to share it with you. As part of a music class, she composed this arrangement, and it’s beautiful! Check it out on YouTube. AND to top it all off, her choir gets to perform with the Rolling Stones during their show in Toronto, and Ariel was interviewed by the CTV!
Way to go, Ariel! We’re proud of your accomplishments, in and out of the water!
Here is her composition:
