PADI DIVEMASTER Prerequisites:
- At least 18 years old;
- PADI Advanced Open Water (or equivalent from another agency);
- PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent from another agency);
- 40 logged dives to begin (60 to certify);
- Emergency First Response primary and secondary care (or qualifying first aid and CPR training from another organization) completed within the last 24 months;
- submit a medical clearance for diving, signed by a physician within the last 12 months.
Don’t meet the prerequisites yet? No problem! Add to your Divemaster Internship any of the following:
- Rescue Diver program at 5% discount off the posted price
- Emergency First Response program at 10% off the posted price
- Advanced Open Water program at 15% off the posted price
- Open Water Diver program at 20% off the posted price

- Instructor Guides for programs a Divemaster may conduct: Discover Scuba Diving; Skin Diver; Scuba Review; Discover Local Diving
- Equipment
- Logbook
- Time monitoring device
- Compass
- Two surface signaling devices – one audible (whistle, air horn, etc.) and one visible (inflatable surface tube, flare, signal mirror, etc.)
- Safety sausage
- Instructions for use for dive computer or RDP/eRDPml
The PADI Divemaster course is a professional course, which requires membership in the Professional Association of Diving Instructors upon completion. As such, certification costs are not included. After completion of the course you must send your completed Divemaster application and processing fees to PADI for approval. Please feel free to ask about current processing costs.
